Volunteer

I’m interested in volunteering. What would I be doing?

Here’s Some of the opportunities:

Food sorting/repackaging - this is done prior to food distribution to the guests. Some of the food items may come in bulk and need to be measured/counted and put in bags to be distributed. This may involve walking/bending/standing. This is a great way for families/teams/groups to volunteer. Food sorting takes approximately 1-1.5 hours to complete.

Escort - guides the guests through the line distribution with a cart to collect food items. An escort helps the guest by talking with them and letting them know about food choices coming up in the line. An escort also places the food in the cart in a way that helps keep cold items cold, heavy items balanced and the way the guest, would like it arranged. Walking, ulling/pushing cart is involved.

Food line distribution - hands out correct number of food items to the escort for the guest. Will involve standing or sitting and handing the food items over a table to the escort.

Carts - takes carts from the escort and brings them outside for drive up pickup by the guest. Walking, pushing/pulling involved.

Pick Up- taking food items from carts and placing them in guests vehicle. Walking, lifting, bending involved.

Volunteer start times range from 7:00 am - 8:15 am. If you cannot volunteer the whole time, just let the volunteer coordinator know what time you can give.
